Why I soon might become a notorious person/Why I am soon be banned from my family/Why people may soon stop claiming to know me I do things on a whim.Although,on the whole I am a spectacularly lazy person. -While we were coming back from college in intermediate (eh,I used to sit at on the school children's special seat on the auto) I asked a person driving a big vehicle (something like a scorpio, don't remember the exact vehicle,I call them Jeep type cars.) whether he was mad, very politely.Reason: It was a red signal at police lines and this person was honking non stop, pointlessly. See,In Hyd,if there is no pointless honking, you should be worried. But this was a little too much. -While walking back home once,I took out a two rupee coin and gave it to an fifty-sixty something man.Reason: He stopped and was about to pee,he put his grand daughter down and was about to do this.In my marredpally,on our street! So I gave him the two rupees and told him that the nearest public toi...

Storytellers Shining voices carried by the wind Tales of old and more Some told to curious grandchildren some more just heard some recollections of incidents and some echo some told with creativity with madness and heart stories that scared our wits we heard with held breathes ones,we cry just think of ones, from which smiles are formed spreading love and awe where do you learn? dear teller, the skills of your art do they begin in your mother's womb, when she told you a word or two to calm your pacing heart? or did it start when you grew up wondering what was what? did that thought bring more words to touch others' hearts? or was it when your little one, needed a soothe a quite tale to sleep and dream the art? when she grows up, like you did, like the ancestors of yours will spell spells that wills the listener to wander in her thoughts My maternal grandmother, mother and sister are the story tellers of my house.I have not met anyone else who tells stories likes these people ...

I like Summers.Especially the summer nights.More so the breeze during summer nights. Sadly though,Its not even March and summer is already here.In fact,it has been here for almost ten days now.I feel bad that the season in India, which when we children were so demarcated are now haywire. I used to loved Hyderabadi winters, but somehow we no longer seem to have such Winters in most parts of the city. (places like UoH,Lingampally,BHEL have winters pretty decent as opposed to concrete jungled parts of the city.) I know it all comes down to global warming,I know my stance in that regard. But,that is not what this post is about. Its about summers. Nights,Mangos,Lime Juice (unlimited), Avakai (okay, alright that is Mango again, but hey, thats a different form),Sunrises,Sunsets,Ugadi, Vacation-nostalgia.I don't know if this would change few year later (the taste, not the summer) but I will always love these things about Summer!
I do not like this.I am getting very short tempered these days.More than my average. I know the reason.I have no power to do anything over the reason, except for avoid it. I am trying. ----- Ghosts from my teenage past-seem to be haunting me till date.Dislike.

During M.A. I used to carry a sheet of paper in a file dedicated solely to one purpose: Things I should blog about. I should did that paper,I definitely have it somewhere in my (unintentionally intentional collection of)vast store of junk.Today has been decent. And well, tomorrow is Sunday holiday.Maybe I'll write about temper or cheatangle.Or maybe I won't.Too bad you have to wait till tomorrow to find out.Or maybe you won't. But, I will blog. That is for sure, because dearies,it is still Feb. :)

No blogger,I still do not want to accept that you are a part of gmail/google. NO! My word of the day is ' weltanschauung ' (means a comprehensive world view). I read 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' when I was in middle school.I loved the book. This was around the time my sister and me had bunk beds (My dad actually made them by connected two old styles beds, yes,my dad is that kind of crazy. And sadly for my sister and me,my dad never believed in things looking nice,he only believed in 'they work just fine'.I like the 'they work just fine part, but I like things to look cute/nice too.).But truthfully,I loved having a double decker bed! But unfortunately, we hardly got to keep them that way for too long, because I fell ill.And by the time I came back home after living with Ammamma for many many months and probably since I wasn't supposed to get physically exhausted the era of the ddb was over.I still dream of having them for my kids and then probably using them m...

In every Blogathoner's life comes a day like this or similar to this. I did not want to switch on my system today, considering it is few minutes to twelve and I am sleep, I am amazed at my energy ( opika is a more apt word I feel) to hit the cpu switch on button, then the the two switches that supply electricity to my monitor and CPU respectively. After which,I on-ed (YES On-ed is a very comfortable Inglish word to use) my CPU,then the 'start' click then some other unexplainable click and then finally my comp switched on! And tada,I'm here, given my attendance -Now tata.Goodnight alls :)

Such a weird day It started out pretty normal. Then, since I had something to do early in the morning so I ventured out.(Lazily if I may add, even though it was supposed to be a Bharat Bandh. Will write more about Bandh as a post script). And well,to make a confusing story less confusing, the auto I was travelling in got stopped and I was asked to get off.A relatively small but busy main road.I was lucky that Mom was at home and could come to pick me up.Otherwis,e it would have been yet another day of lots and lots of walking. Then She had to travel to her work place and got onto the train, but because some idiots made up their minds about some work, she had to get off over 50kms from Sec'bd and thankfully got a lift from there from one her friends.Aah,Considering we had that 'women' of the house especially in relation to travelling, only this morning,it was very amusing. Then,a dear friend messaged, but seriously this friend seems to get less dearer by each contact.Aah,...

So... Tall V missed his flight. Saunph and PoPa very shocked. Another person in the group was exhausted by the fact that he would have to return the next day too to see Tall V off,and go go-karting again. Yet another person said 'Okay, now he can come go-karting too' I only laughed about it.A LOT! Why are such things funny to humans? I have missed trains twice in my life, once I was very very VERY upset with the friend who was responsible for it (trust me she was.And now (not because of this) we are sort of no longer friends.:P) And the next time,it was crazy.I don't know how we managed to miss the train. We left over an hour early,it rained (all of a sudden!) and bang we got stuck in traffic right before we reached the station. But I had so much fun during the trip! And in all this madness.Ha.Thats why good company is important if you are not travelling alone! :D But,I was not really upset about missing the train. Its just a funny story of the past now !  ---------...

Personal Preference(s)/More Random thoughts! I like that in India, most if not all processed foods are marked with a red dot or a green dot, indicating their vegetarian status.Even better,I like that the red dot covers even food that contains egg or animal by-product based gelatin. For example: I stopped eat/having sweet cigarettes because they have a red dot apart from the carton also mentioning that they contain gelatin.I became a total vegetarian a little over eight years ago.Until then, I had egg in desserts and other sweets, and sweets like marshmallows or sweet cigarettes, that contained gelatin. I avoid littering. To a crazy extent. One of the reasons I actually cried (yes, cried!get over it,I am dramatic) because I was miserable at the hypocrisy I saw in my one month working as an RA in the very small so called NGO last year was: The fact that we were littering the scenic, beautiful village in the Eastern Ghats because we were from the city and felt superior to the local ...

Random Thoughts -I dropped the original idea for the post because it would have been too sentimental. -Just now 'hungout' with Mangisa and her Mom.I dreamt of her,so it was nice looking at her.   -I did not wish Q,so I'll just wish her here- Happy Birthday Q! Hope you have a lovely year ahead! -Hope to meet/catch up with a couple of friends these week, hope that works out. -Managed a(n almost) pretty calm demeanour today. -PoPa came home today for a while, gave her Chai and Parle-G as usual, I still buy Parle-G thanks to her. -I like full stop as opposed to period to describe the dot that ends the sentence.Personal preference. -I think I will go a little 'over the charts' crazy during the week, lets wait and watch. -That's all for the news today, have a nice day/night.

Curiousity A so called friend of mine guessed that my gmail status message had to do with a book reading deadline, another thought it was a month count (I don't know how!). So today my status was something that sort of clarified that. My status message is usually the blog title. In other news I went to Vijayawada today, with Tall V,Pras,Saunph,RaChe and Nagi.It was my third time going there, first time going to the Kanaka Durga Temple and probably the last time, especially with those sort of Baapans around. It involves a lot of cribbing,so I will not write that here. The onward journey was good and reminded me a lot of Agumbe. And the return, well I was quiet the entire journey, apparently worrying Tall V and Nagi.Haa,serves them write. You deprive me of a promised ice-cream treat, thats what you get in return.A cold treatment! But I had a nice day overall.

Do you'll have a themse music or an OST for yourself? A tune,a song or music that plays in your head when you do something? I do. For those of you have watched Geethanjali it the music which plays in the background in happy scenes and for those of you haven't,watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HB8C0MYauRw&wide=1 (which is unfortunately the cut with the scenes I don't like -read scenes I suspect MR put for solely producers' sake,I think I mentioned this before on my blog,or did I not?) The music can be heard well from 1:16:24-1:16:48 This music especially plays when I am running in the house (considering I run more at home than outside) @Mahadev : See,I finally posted this, even though I did not find the ost alone.

The halfway mark! Unintentionally, even this is going to be a super small post. A post wishing that everyone had a good day today and will post happy thoughts. :)

Rumour Has It Yesterday, Mom was telling me about the plight of certain women in her office due to this extremely Khadoos Boss, who is much younger to her and also by the sound of it,much more arrogant.I heard of him for a while now,he seems to be person one must not cross paths with. So Amma was telling me about how some ugly rumours have been created about him and a friend of hers. And she is not surprised because he just seems to be that person whom if you associate with, intentionally or otherwise you would be the main character in rumours. Rumour(s), I first understood that word when  I was in my intermediate when there used to be all kinds of stories about classmates and teachers flying around. Some of them were pretty entertaining and funny.Like there was this one kid in a friend's class.Lets call him Yaj.Yaj was apparently a kid who had grown up in the U.S and was in India only for the past year or two.Yaj used to wear sweaters to college. No,not just when it was cold ...

Nostalgia and Other random thoughts This is one of those days where I head on Nostalgia Lane. Not intentionally. Not when I am seeing old photos.Reading entries on this blog or my old diaries. But,random conversations from yesterday. I cannot believe our principal killed himself. No,I'm not sad,its just unbelievable.Sad is the other losses that happened last year.Tragic even. But I feel terrible for his kids. Its unfair for them to lose a father figure at such an age.(Whatever I thought of that person is only secondary.) I cannot believe that I do not talk to so many people anymore, intentional in all cases except for one. I cannot believe there is someone younger to me at home now. I cannot believe I did not go to Numaish with Mahadev this year. Also, cannot believe that Pandu can already talk. Of course, things that I believe are many more than the list of the things I cannot believe :) On another note,Happy Birthday You :)

E.K.G aka Extended Kerala Gang I do not know whether it is fortunate or unfortunate but Mahadev is true.I still will not admit it though.I am part of the EKG! Whether I like it or not.Tall V is here for a week long vacation. It was good to see him after four months.Everyone has something to say to Tall V and Tall V has something to say for everyone! And we waiting, chatted, went go karting and stayed out all night. And returned to our respective homes after eating idlis at Ram Ki Bandi.Tall V sadly did not find any chai to make his 'welcome home' a perfect one. Tomorrow is Tall V's birthday.Happy Birthday to one of the most friendly people I know. This post was meant to be longer, but I had a cake literally following apart and the clock ticking,so thats that for now.

Intellectual: A person possessing a highly developed intellect. Intellect: The faculty of reasoning and understanding objectively, esp. with regard to abstract or academic matters. I am a smart person.Even if I say so myself. But,there is a small catch.I am not at all smart in most matters of the world.I flunked papers in school and college.I only did well academically (very well in fact, unintentionally) only during my university years. This was probably because our course was 50% practical and 50% theoretical.Even there,I almost never got an A for theoretical courses.I genuinely thought I would flunk in a paper called Developmental Communication because of many reasons.(A.The teacher disliked me immensely. B.I was lost in the first two months (read more than half the semester) because of the jargon used in class. In fact I looked up the word jargon in the first week of the semester because everyone seemed to be used the word (Ha,Now I use it too!). But,inspite of my so calle...

Things that I learnt in the kitchen (especially) last (few) year(s): 1.Even capsicum can have worms. 2.Idlis can harden when left in the cooker for too long. 3.A moist cooker and some bad luck leads to lots and lots of fungus. 4.I like rice.Red.Sticky.Black.White.Brown. 5.Milk boiling over is directly proportional to the number of times I clean the stove. 6.If you keep your sink too clean and dry,Centipedes that have otherwise been hiding in the happy, moist. place somewhere below WILL APPEAR.And,it will be a struggle for you to get rid of them without killing them. 7.You can cook with or without proper lighting. 8.Remember that you sharpened a knife, otherwise have creepy looking cuts all over your palms as a result of washing the knife after using it. 9.Remember the vessel on the stove is hot, even after you've switched off the stove. As ever, the list doesn't end here and I'm sure it'll only increase. ** I dislike when the dictionary 'red' mark...

Four days ago Around the same time,I realised that I: I genuinely and completely forgot that this is in fact my third blogathon. That I had a secret blog in 2011 and refused to be tagged or seen,I just read some posts from it.Some things have not changed, not even an inch. While somethings will never be the same again. For Example:I wrote something about my contrasting memories about certain things. How I tend to forget things others might remember vividly.Like that I wrote a secret blog in 2011.This is still applicable. Aah,strange thing I am.Good to know that aspect has been consistent.

The Gifts of Magi I love receiving gifts. But even more,I love well thought out gifts. They needn't be big or costly. They just need to be considerate. This year Sibling#2 (as an early birthday gift!)gave me a sand timer, which had a nice memory attached to it.Its small, colourful, beautiful and I smile every time I see it. I on the other hand really meant to buy her some good cake, but did not do that.Apologies. Last year,I got books from Mahadev. She made my year. She gave me a book on my birthday and three in April.Aah,the smell of wonderful books.I have yet to find a her a decent copy of a book I told her I'd buy years ago! I WILL do this.Readers, ask me in a year and If I still did not do this, disown me. Mahadev, Sib#1  gave me very nice earrings last year.Oh,if you know me and don't know about my earrings.Eh,shame on you? :P No,just kidding. I just love earrings.Apart from books, bags the thing(s) that I don't get tired of are earrings. (Bags comes a close secon...

What Happened to the Monkey? Monkey? Monkey? Monkey? If you grew up (whether it was in the form of attending school, having someone you visited often, lived,or just hung around) in or around Marredpally, you would know that we always had monkeys around.Of course they were in other parts in Hyderabad too but I will write about only what I know. In school,we used to just start howling and make teachers shut doors and go all 'Aaaaah! Monkeys! Monkeys!' but in reality probably very few of us were genuinely scared of them in class.Eagles, sparrows, mynas, crows (lots of crows!) and monkeys. These were the animals of our school.(Not counting the parrots that the school owned). But I'm deviating! Monkeys were healthier looking back then.At home,we did not have grills for our balconies and hence we were very used to instances such as: Playing business sitting on the floor and tadaa!a new member joining us.A creature from the same ancestry but different species of course. ...

I scream You scream We all scream for ice-cream. Those of you who know me,or don't know me.I LOVE Ice cream.Funnily enough my beloved E.K.Gang knows this the most.So much so that they got me two family packs of ice-cream from naturals along with my midnight birthday cake (I suspect this will be the last we are going to see these midnight birthday 'bashes' at my place) My tastes have been pretty consistent since my childhood.Especially with foods.Whatever my parents tell me now,I think that secretly they chose my name because of my food likings. And ice-creams.Yum. My favourite flavour is Vanilla. Its something I can eat ANYTIME! And my least favourite flavour is Strawberry (especially after finally tasting fresh strawberries,I wonder what they mean to sell when they sell strawberry flavoured ice-cream). But I can still eat it.Its ice cream afterall!  At the same time,I understand,I would why some people don't like ice-cream.And I don't mind hangin...
