Dila Dilemma

I move from my current place soon, but my heater (which is also the water heater) suddenly decided to give up. It happened over the weekend. I am cheap enough to boil water in the Kettle and then transfer the water. But....When I wash my hair I need more water. However, since I need to vacate soon I am not able to bring myself to go tell the maintenance people that the heater has died. But I need hot water.

That feeling...

...when a door in between is open and to block the glare (and unwillingly the light) you hold the handle to bring it to a close but from the other side the door opens wide throwing in light, warmth and that glare you were avoiding And you are thinking... That door is supposed to close now already. Don't use the stopper. Don't bring in the light. Don't give hope. While I do like light, and dread the dark I at least know what to except in the dread of the dark And that makes daylight ...scary

Festivities

I was unaware of this festival which happens here till a friend asked me if I'd be going. And well, I landed up going. My camera is slowly growing old, it has already slowed down in some aspects but I need to keep it alive until I can buy a new one. But it still manages to remain faithful enough when I see something so breathtaking. I took other photographs too (and for a change have more than two photographs of myself from that day). Another person in the group with a slightly higher camera took photographs too. I was exhausted by the time I got back but I most definitely did not regret going there. Lanterns, paper lanterns at that are incredibly calming and fill you with joy.

Words, kids and smiles

Last night I went to a new place to eat. Quite unintentionally. A friend and me were looking for rooms (cause I need to move again and the friend is helping me do so). And as we sat down to eat a little kid stood beside me. Very quietly. And then because she was looking at me, non stop. I said hello, asked her if her favourite colour was pink and did the usual small talk you do with kids. But by the end of our dinner, this kid was laughing like kids should(full of life, full of mischief) and a part of my kurta was covered with several pink stickers. It was delightful to meet this kid. Its probably my height, but I have a feeling that most kids assume that I am a kid when then meet me.  I always smile at such experiences but the best part was that this happened here, making me realise that I do in fact can manage the language, enough to survive.

Naam kaala

I have a diary which I started as a kid, where I noted down names I liked along with their meanings. And later even though I stopped making notes in it, I always have had a interest in names and meanings of names. But sometimes, a person has ruined names for me. I used to like the name 'M' a lot. And then I met someone who had the name and we became friends. And then we were no longer friends. Now. I don't want to meet anyone with that name. It is still a pretty name but has been blacklisted because of my bitter experiences with that particular person named 'M'. Its sad when people ruin names for you in that way. Have other examples but not a serious problem in life so will stop. Just that some beautiful names get blocked in my head because of these handful of people.
