The T20 to our generation is what the ODIs were to my parents'. And Though i would probably have a lot to argue about certain things.But nope wouldnt say anything. Because. I LOVE Gilchrist (entirely now cause he's not in the australian team anymore,no grudge against them,just because they are such tough rivals) and of Course my ever favourite RP Singh! I was telling my mom,when we (DC)got through to the semis- that it will be so much fun if we get to play with royal challengers (though i favour CSK more) in the finals because these two teams were in a sorry state last season. I thought i was prepared for all of that,but seeing the photo of it starting in the newspaper it self triggered it off,i have no idea what will happen when it is actually and completely gone. I need ice cream and chocolate.Both that i shouldnt be eating. So instead i'll resort to watching Yj and Hj and other such stuff. Heartache.

But now those walls dont remain,most of them. I studied in this school for twelve years. The kindergarten section was re-built while we were in school and we were very happy about it because the building we studied in was very old.And now 6 more of the classrooms i spent a year each in are no more.(Soon will be a tar road and nothing more). the worst thing that can happen to you intellectually is not knowing what you want. I know the things i will be able to get,easily in fact right now. But i am not sure if what i will be able to get and what i want to get are the same thing. Turmoil would be too dramatic a word to use,but i am in such a fix. The problem is,i havent had such problems in life before,thats why it is a fix. At almost all levels since when i was little i have known what i wanted and most of the time acheived it. Now the problem is just to know what i want, once that is done.I am set.

Knowledge is Power and Busy as Bees, two of the phrases we grew up being Annites. Though i am an utter disgrace to the latter, I believe entirely in the first one. There is nothing that makes you feel the way knowledge makes you feel. To everyone knowledge may mean a different thing. To me it is knowing the reciepe of my favourite poha, or making avakai, or watching Guru Dutt or Orsen wells or Jandhya or Anyone interesting works,Seeing Ansel Adam type photos,knowing to finish a pattern of muggu,learning about a new culture,land,language.knowing to solve a problem ...in math or life. Above all,knowing what i have to do tommorrow,because that covers so many things. Da Vinci was lucky man to have explored so many forms of knowledge.

So Little Bro wants to change his surname only for one particular reason (My family,i'd like to think has been pretty cool about such stuff) Now,Little Bro's Sis and Mom disprove. So do i. But reasons for their disapproval and mine,are well i think different. I am dead superstitious. i) I wouldnt want a boy (in the family) to have either my mom's surname or my dad's surname (and yes they have different surname and as is the usual trend,we girls Big Sister and Me have my dad's surname). Now the reason being,i've seen how it goes with dad's surname and i hardly like any of the men in that family.For some reason or the other.I mean they are family and all,but that apart as people,no comments. ii)Mom had a terrible childhood and major pains in her life were caused by boys in the family with the surname.Even more,a death of a boy with the same surname is part of the family's dark history. Sitting today(Sunday) at the table in Paradise It was so good to have them around, Anirvan (Now looking like a Roadie with a ponytail, beard and moustache ..along with more than twice the weight he had in college)with Piyali ,Vedanth with a weird haircut and (no comments about how they look as opposed to what they looked like in college) Punky Zee and this other chap called Kishore were there too.
