Growing up in the nineties in India, we were subject all kinds of terrific (good and bad) pop culture. Along with the whatshisname rap arts who sang about asking girls to sit in their cars in terrible rhythm we also had the privilege to see collaborations across borders that gave music a sense of universality. One of such songs was sung by a Pakistani artist, the visuals, the music and lyrics were all spoken about quite a bit back when it was released in the late nineties.
