Repackaged notes

Growing up in the nineties in India, we were subject all kinds of terrific (good and bad) pop culture. Along with the whatshisname rap arts who sang about asking girls to sit in their cars in terrible rhythm we also had the privilege to see collaborations across borders that gave music a sense of universality. One of such songs was sung by a Pakistani artist, the visuals, the music and lyrics were all spoken about quite a bit back when it was released in the late nineties. And being an avid follower of a certain music based show I was pleasantly surprised by this rendition of the same song.

OMG, I haven't checked your link yet but this morning my sequence was:

1) hear the sample of some song
2) trusted the singer to have done full justice
3) searched for the song online, luckily found a legal download particularly when it was not on iTunes yet
4) was humming it before shower
5) loaded the song to my phone
6) enjoying all the way to the commute: afreen, afreen.


now, let me check your link and see whether it was this. will be honest. :)

Isn't it nice that they changed the background beat to one which is slower and pulled it off so well?

yes, i purchased the original right after. but the "beat" made me want to switch to the current unplugged version. i know it's unfair to compare a 1996 recording with that of a 2016 but the current version sounds so full and rich despite being without major instruments. true, i liked the slower tempo too.

What should i do?tell (or dont)

See its like this,i've known her forever, whenever i've made references to her on this blog she's known it, after four years i'll be seeing some people who are a special part of my life, i would like to spend new years atleast this year with her....atleast this year... i wont and cannot tell her this to her face,she will get offended,she may not udnerstand my viewpoint, she will expect it of me,but wont get my view point still....... birthday,eve,n.yr...its ok if she's not there for mine....but i know what is going to happen.... though i cant help it...i will feel bad..... atb to her and all the goodness in the world. they'll not be that four again its true.... P.S:to her,please dont ask me about this.
