hmmm.....

Over the years I have learnt to keep music sacred from going into a dark place that relationships or even people often go to. What do I mean by that? Like many people I associate some songs or type of music with certain people. And life is hard so you lose a lot of people both intentionally and unintentionally. (I had written about associating certain songs to certain people a long time ago but this has come to be a deeper entity in life.)  Yes, I realise I am going cryptic. Let me try to get this across in better words using real life examples. The OST of Trolls by Justin Timberlake, while I did know the song before going to Noraebangs with an erstwhile friend. I associated this song with her because she did such a good job singing it for a person who wasn't entirely fluent in spoken English. So we always sang it when we went to Noraebangs together. and you learn Constantine is a boy's name. I met a boy called Constantine today. I didn't understand him say his name for the first two times. But then, he didn't understand mine either. So we are even I guess? And now I have the name in the song 'My darling Clementine' in my head. In other words, its 'My darling Constantine'. Thankfully for me, I will never meet the said boy again. And so can laugh in peace in my head whenever I think of the combination of the song.

and such classics Sometimes a tune makes me in awe of multiple things. (i) How do composers come up with complex tunes. The creativity, the thought process, the time it takes and fine tune. (ii) How do people find such tunes to listen to (iii) How some people rip off portions of this tunes as is or modified to make other classics. Such people I'm doubly in awe of because they not only discover the song but also modify it. I am especially in awe of people who did this before the internet became a thing. This particular one is a Raj Kapoor song and I cannot remember which one! I'll add it here when I do remember. Addition: I thought it was from either Aah or Mera naam joker and google told me its the latter.
