Stories from the past

There was that love he found,
so deep and so unexplainable.
It was her looks, yes shallow but true.
And then it was more, much more. True too.

He fell into a trap that made him be
A truer being, made him laugh, smile and be him
It made him feel, made him look at the world differently
And then as time went by fate threw
a different plan, she went one way and he another.

Her perfume filled his memories,
her love broke his heart
Yet to cherish and not to forget
On his arm he wore, deep and dark
a name that would remain now
a distant past

It broke him, drove him
Made him new

The new him tried to seek
out others
to give him the calm he saw before
But in stead he found more chaos

It was the seek for calm
that led him to the ways he took
and things would never change again
no matter, no matter where he looked

He tried to find her kissing a friend,
travelling afar, being alone
He tried to be far from friends,
he tried

But through all of this, he only knew that
even if he found
A peace,  someone new
Never again would he find,
That one true love,
That one of a kind.
