Yes, N for No
As a kid, apparently 'No' was the first English word I used and ONLY English word I used for the longest time. Although a lot of my qualities, both good and bad have been quite consistent over all these years, I do not have the habit of answering EVERYTHING in this singular, monosyllabic word of negation. Yes,I do use it but I often find it difficult to say this to anyone I consider friend/family. (This is not to be consfused with my stubbornness or rigidity in certain [read several] aspects of life)
Of late, however I come across three people of pretty different backgrounds who most often reply to most questions with a simple 'N' 'O'- NO.
First, A certian 'seven seas across' hamster loving almost two year old who loves answering by saying a very assertive 'No No'. This ranges from negating food preferences to non-star spangled clothes.
Second, A gigantic teddy bear who hails from one of our neighbouring countries and has decided the best way to reply to ANY question is- NO.
Thirdly, A Manipuri girl, who picked up the habit from the GTB (Hahaha to the GTB short form, for its the closest metro station to where I live.)
I wonder how these stories are going to evolve in the future, I'll try to keep you'll updated. Untill then, adios amigos.
