To be precise, twelve years ago. I wrote this. https://reefknot.blogspot.com/2007/12/3rd-dec.html (I occassionally go back in time in this blog, and I did that because December just started. I am scheduling this post for the third, for obvious reasons.) Last year, Su wished me 'Happy third of December'. I remember, not remembering. This year, however, being in my old room, catching up with the senior after ages, I do remember. In fact December 2003, I remember which movie I watched in theatre and with whom. It was a delightful experience. I have never watched the movie again (Kal ho na ho) even though I did catch the songs when I used to watch TV. Little boy is going to turn twenty! The big 2.0. In Twenty days. All my college friends remember him. I miss him. When I go on occasional walks or walk to visit PoPa, I think of him and wonder what if I run into him that day. Would he react? Would he remember? Would he know that he is loved? But I hope deep down he knows he is. He always will be. I don't know him anymore like I don't know people from that part of life. But he will have a special place in my heart. I met a college senior after seven years the day before yesterday, even she remembered him. I always had stories about him to share. He is older than when I started college. I definitely hope he is wiser. I hope he is meeting good, kind and wonderful people along his path. I wish him happiness and joy, calmness and no temper. I wish he holds no grudges and has happy memories. Love you Dear boy. Even at twenty, you will remain the child I knew and love.
